I'm back in Baytown to start another week away from Erin and Ellie. Only three weeks left!
I'll leave it to Erin to tell you about her birthday weekend. Suffice it to say that I'm still trying to live up to that first birthday weekend when we were dating. I set the bar way too high that year....
The internship is going well. I'm enjoying the work here much more compared to last summer. There's more to do, and what there is to do is more interesting. The big negative is having to say goodbye to the family every Sunday. Driving away with Ellie waving through the window breaks my heart every time.
Needless to say, I'm looking forward to getting back to Austin and seeing my girls every day. Just three more weeks...

What does 'bittle-less" mean?
"Bittle" is a nickname we have for Ellie. Each of Maureen's kids was a "little bit", and when she was helping us out after Ellie was born, we picked that up from her. "Little bit" then became "little bittle" which became "bittle". Kind of a weird name, but considering we called her "squirtle" before she was born, it's not that far out.
