One of the things that I have been frantically trying to do this week is set up preschools for Ellie. We had hoped that she would get into the UT Lab School preschool, but the wait list is just too long and it doesn't look like that will happen. That's alright, it was going to be quite inconvenient getting her to and from there each day.
Today we registered her for preschool in the Fall at the Pecan Street preschool which is run by the First United Methodist Church. I was actually quite impressed with their routine and everyone there was SOOOO friendly! I feel really good about it. I had the option of putting her in on Tuesdays and Thursdays or Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. I opted for the MWF program because I think it will help her to have more of a routine and since she has a need for constant attention and something to do, I thought it would be better for all of us. It should be good for all of us since three kids are definitely going to change things up a bit.

Now I am onto figuring out a preschool for this summer. Since we will be in Houston this summer I wanted to find something she could go to a couple times a week to keep her busy, learning and happy. I found a Montessori school that I will be touring next week with her that is near my parents' house. I hope it works out buy I am going to research some other options as well. I thought about just putting her in some gymnastics or ballet classes but I think a preschool atmosphere with a bunch of other kids that she can become friends with will be better.
All of this preschool stuff really will be good for Owen as well. I worry with Maggie being born that he will not get as much attention (mostly because he is an independent kid who really doesn't demand it like Ellie does). So, having Ellie doing other things a couple times a week will allow me to spend some one on one time with Owen. These days his favorite things are playing chase, playing with his cars, jumping on the furniture and cuddling with mom.
