Houston Children's Museum

This week we have been lucky enough to get to spend time with Daniel's sister Lindsay and her son Spencer who are visiting from Boston. One of the fun things we have done together was to go to the Houston Children's Museum. We have been to both the Austin and San Antonio Children's Museum but never to the one in Houston so this was a fun experience for us!
Their toddler area was great and well worth the $4 or $5 it cost to get in (we only had to pay for Elise).

Spencer.
I really love taking the kids places where they can be independent and discover things on their own. Owen especially seems to really enjoy that type of environment since he doesn't care too much for people telling him what to do.

There were little movies playing inside these tree trunks. Grandma is helping Owen out. She is also wearing Mags, but I'm not sure if you can tell.
Some of us didn't make it all the way through the day. Poor Spencer was in need of a morning nap! We only saw one area besides the toddler area, but I am sure that Elise and Grandma will be visiting again before the summer is out. Our children (and their parents) have about a 3 hour limit going just about anywhere. If any activity is more than 3 hours someone will start melting down. We had so much fun at the museum though and are glad to have the opportunity to go!
One last picture... here is the van pretty much filled to capacity. I CRAMMED in a 3rd car seat in the back row and you can see Maggie hanging out in the mirror, she is in the captain's chair. I guess it is good to know that more car seats do fit!

I agree with the three hour rule!! It's true for us too.
We miss you guys too! T&J didn't understand why preschool was stopping, so they were sad. When do you get back - August?
Take Care!
