Look what was in our backyard this weekend. A possum! SOOOO gross... I am feeling like I am going to throw up seeing the picture right now... these things are just giant rats.
It stayed in one spot forever. Ellie was the one who discovered it and said to Daniel, "Dad, there's a hamster in our backyard". Yikes. We watched it, the whole time I was freaking out that it was going to make its home in our yard, but luckily it went over to the neighbors side. No signs of it since. Thank goodness.
I have been scanning the yard each time the kids go out just to make sure it hasn't returned. We've had wild rabbits in our yard too... you'd think we live in a wooded area or something, but no. Seriously though, I am so grossed out!

Wow - that thing is big!! We have seen a rabbit or two in our yard, but no possums (knock on wood).
Geeze! That thing looks like it's from the Princess Bride--it's huge AND disgusting I must add. I hope I don't get any of those and that you don't get anymore of those!
Oh wow, that is big! I know we get armadillos around here. I haven't seen one though. I love the hamster comment. It isn't THAT ugly though, just the tail makes it gross. It's face is kinda cute. No?
At least rabbits clean themselves incessantly and are only likely to bite if cornered. And they're cute. Possums, I have no idea what their habits are, but think it's ugly and huge. I'd be scanning the backyard too! Or building an indoor backyard. :)
