It's been a short week for us here in Austin. After enjoying the weekend and holiday, it was back to the grind for Daniel. Still no word from Shell, but he has been pretty busy doing his prelim. That is what he will be working on for the first part of the summer. While he has had to go to school everyday (mostly because it is pretty impossible to do work from home with us around) he has been able to take Fridays off so far. That has been nice. It has allowed me to get some errands done.

The kids and I have had a fun-filled week. I think I have discovered the secret for being a stay-at-home mother of 2. "Get out everyday". It really has been good for us and I have noticed that not only are my children happier when we do things, but I am as well. Tuesday we went to Ready, Set, Play. This has become a weekly ritual now. They have really comfy couches there so it is a nice place to park and hold Owen while I can still see Ellie. Wednesday we went swimming at a friend's neighborhood pool. It has a splash pad, but I think Ellie was a little scared to try it out. She mostly hung out in the shallow end.

This picture was taken on Wednesday right before we went swimming. She is all greased up with sunblock and I make her wear a hat in the sun at all times. This is what happens when your children are so white. Thursday, we went to Chick-Fil-A with some friends and let Ellie play on the playscape that they have there. It was a nice rainy day activity since the playground was inside. It had been a really long time since I have been to Chick-Fil-A, so it was a nice treat for us all.

Today, we are picking out pictures that the kids got taken last week. I am praying there are some good ones of them. They were pretty ornery that day.
Our air conditioning has been on the fritz. It has been working ok at night and hardly at all during the day, but constantly running. So, last night the AC man came and now we are basking in the cool breeze.
Owen's top 3 teeth have poked through (yeah, it is weird that 3 have popped through and not just 2 or 4). 3 more will probably make their appearance this month. Poor Owen has been feeling a little achy. We have been using lots of orajel and periodically some Tylenol to soothe his discomfort. His gums were bleeding a lot the other day... poor guy.
Our most exciting news to report is the rebirth of our original Tivo. After about a year and a half out of commission, we were able to repair it. I had looked online last year and never found anything that could fix it but then I looked a couple weeks ago and found out the exact part that needed replacing. 2 days later... we were in business!! We are excited about our 2nd Tivo because it is a really good Tivo and has the DVD player/burner on it. Now we can transfer shows from one Tivo to another. It is pretty cool.

The pictures are great. Thanks for being so diligent about posting them.
Ellie is such a fashion plate in her swim outfit! And Owen looks so grown up. It makes my day to see them.
Love, Grandpa Weber
