Purple Ketchup Day (a.k.a. Erin's Birthday)

Well, I turned the big 2-6 on Thursday. I didn't enjoy turning a year older or being closer to 30 than not, but it was a good birthday! On Thursday, which coincidentally is also the day that purple ketchup was introduced, I did a little bit of celebrating. I spent the morning taking the kids swimming (we do this every morning and I must admit it is pretty much always fun for all), then we got a sitter and my mom took me to lunch and we looked around at model homes (one of my favorite past times, I just love looking at floor plans and different decorating and designs they use). That night Daniel and I went out to a movie. It was a lovely birthday!
Saturday was the REAL celebration! We went to the Melting Pot. A personal favorite from back when Daniel and I went last year for our anniversary. We got a sitter (who the kids LOVE) and the rest of us adults plus Maggie went out for dinner. It was scrumptious as always.

Here we all are fonduing.

Daniel, his mom and Maggie.

Evan, me, my dad.

Evan and Maggie (I love this picture!).

Evan and I (notice all the ridiculous food around us!)
My mom before we dug into our cheese fondue (spinach artichoke and fiesta cheese fondue for the record).

Daniel.
Magdalyn and I (as well as some loser in the background--- my dad).
Chowing down on lobster!!! That fondue pot was pretty steamy!

Me and my dad.

DESSERT:

This was our turtle fondue- It had caramel, milk chocolate and pecans and was flambeed!

Our Yin and Yang... Delicious milk chocolate, white chocolate and a splash of caramel.

The dessert plate with my candle sticking in the middle. Each plate is shared by two though we didn't have any problems finishing off the dessert despite all the food we had already eaten. It was just too good.

It was a wonderful birthday and I am so lucky to have such wonderful family who always make sure that I have a special day ... more like special few days :)!
Side note: Yes, we are still on our diets but this is our first cheat since we started and the last until probably like Thanksgiving or something.
Mags was awake most the dinner, but crashed right at the end. Must have been ALL that chocolate she ate.

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Hey what's this complaining about being 26, I am 29 and for some reason dread turning 30 too :)

You look great and looks like you all had lots of fun. I love the picture of you and Mags with your dad being silly. So cute!
