Still learning....HAIR

As aforementioned, I have conquered the "bows" part of having girls and now I am on to learning how to do hair.... more than just a pony tail or pig tails. So, this means I have been experimenting. Here's what we've got so far...

This is the triple braid from the front.
This was a triple braid. Basically I just put it in a pony tail and divided into three separate braids that I braided together. This is really cute on long, thick hair which Ellie has neither of so it was a bit of a bust. Not totally, it just wasn't SUPER cute.
This is the do that I thought looked cutest on Ells.
It's just two braids looped up and then two bows on top.
I also did this with one braid and it was really cute too, but didn't take a picture of that.

Ok, this one was a failure. I was trying to connect two pig tails with braids, but I didn't secure it right and the pig tails flipped out. I like the idea of it, but I am going to have to work on execution a bit more on this one!

This was just an easy twist done in a pony tail with a korker bow.

From the front.
This was an experiment on my mom's hair... Ellie's hair is too fine and short for this one I think.
It came out alright I think, though we decided the look was too juvenile for my mom to wear.

The ballet bun... though I was just experimenting so I didn't secure the strays or put in a bow/ribbon.
Trying out the twist... would have been cuter a little bit lower.
This was just two Dorothy braids. It was cute but I didn't get a shot of the back for some reason.
This was a good swim look... it kept every strand of hair out of her face. Plus it was pretty cute.
Here's the back. I should probably invest in some thinner rubber bands versus hair ties, but it works for us right now. You can do this hairstyle in so many ways.

Very cute. I am looking forward to the day that 1. Ally has enough hair to do things with and 2. She will let me play with her hair. For now she gets mad if I even stroke it much less brush it.
When that day comes, though, I'll have to copy your moves.

Lest anyone believe otherwise, this is incontrovertible (I looked it up and it's the right word) proof that my granddaughter is the cutest 3-year-old alive. I can't wait to see her again. I hope Erin gives her an extra hug from Grandpa between "dos"

Love,
Grandpa Weber

IF I have girls they are going to hate me cause all I will be able to do is put her hair in a pony tail. You are a great MOM. Hope all is well. we should hang out before you leave.
