Baby Predictions

No baby yet.  Nope, instead I have a horrible cold that has knocked me off my feet and am mostly on the couch.  Ugh.  However, I go to the doctor tomorrow for my 37 week checkup... in which I am considered full term.  So, I thought it would be fun to get some predictions about this baby.

Here is how it works:  Predict the date, time of day and weight of our little Mason.  For example, I will give my prediction on May 3, 3:47 pm, and 9 lbs 1 oz.  --- If I don't get the date right, I can still win the time or weight.  THERE WILL BE A PRIZE FOR EACH WINNER! (I'll even mail out the prizes).

Let me give some background stats for you:

Elise was born at 37 weeks, induced due to pre-eclampsia, took 33 hours from the time they started my labor, she weighed 7lbs 10oz.

Owen was born at 39 weeks, induced by my choice, took 8 hours from the time they started my labor, he weighed 10 lbs 3oz.

Magdalyn was born at 34 3/7 weeks, induced due to pre-eclampsia, took 13 hours from the time they started my labor, she weighed 6 lbs 9oz.

THIS baby- no complications, at my 35 week appointment I was 1.5 cm dilated, 80% effaced, 36 week appointment I was 2 cm dilated, 80-90% effaced.  So far, only sporadic contractions and not often.

Of course, I want this baby to come asap, Daniel wants me to wait another week and a half... because it would be most convenient for him... yeah, ok, I will totally work around that:).  We are anxious to have Mason join our family!

Easter 2011

Easter came and went with much anticipation and excitement.  Every year the kids get a little better at dyeing eggs and are a little more careful with what they are doing.  Plus, they are so proud of the results that just that makes it worth it.

Mom and dad had fun making some designs on the eggs and the kids really got a kick out of that!

On Sunday we went to church and I attempted to get some decent pictures of the kids outside.  It is much better when they smile spontaneously because when I tell them to smile I often get some fake smiles.  Oh well.  I guess we will still keep them :).

This picture isn't lying... Owen really is taller than Ellie these days.  Just by a bit, but if the pediatrician is right, I think Owen will almost always be taller than Ellie (predicts he will be over 6' 5"!!).

Fun in the Sun

The weather has gotten a lot warmer out which means the kids have been wanting to LIVE outside.  They are always out in the backyard playing like crazy.  On this day, we went to the spray park and playground for a bit.

Should be a fun summer ahead of us!  These three are anxious for the pools to open and we still have at least a month before they open!!

What Erin has been up to

Instead of complaining about being pregnant... which is what I do most of the time... after all, I am 8 months pregnant with what is sure to come out being a sumo-wrestler child and am highly uncomfortable, moody, overweight and cranky.  SO, INSTEAD of complaining ... well, anymore, I will tell you what I have been up to.

Well, there is the normal stuff, but for the most part I have had to take it extra easy during this pregnancy.  With all the problems in the past, I didn't want to risk overdoing it and causing me to have to deliver earlier than would be healthy for the baby.  So, I have been put on a bedrest sorta regimen.  Basically, I need to lay down for about 3 hours during the day and should sit or lay as much as possible and need to not do anything I don't HAVE to do.  Um, ok.  So, this has left me with a lot of time at home and therefore I decided I needed a new hobby.

It started in February when I told my mom that I wanted to learn how to sew a couple skirts for my girls.  A couple skirts later, I decided I wanted to quilt something... well, since then, I haven't been able to be stopped....

Plus a few more not pictured and I have also gotten involved in several quilting bees and have made some really fun blocks!...

So, yeah... I have been working obsessively on quilting stuff.  I am thinking it must be some sort of nesting instinct I am having, but I am enjoying it and now my mom and I have even more fun stuff to do together!
