Pflugerville City Easter Egg Hunt 2009

The Pflugerville City Easter Egg Hunt is the first thing we participated in this year to start of the Easter festivities. This past Saturday we drove over to Heritage Park and enjoyed the city Easter activities. We had never been, so didn't know what to expect. It was a bit crowded but not nearly as crowded as the Austin City Easter Egg Hunt that we did last year. There was a train, clowns, petting zoo, bouncy toys, pony rides and the Easter bunny there to enjoy.

Dad stayed with Maggie while Mom, Elise and Owen rode the train. This was definitely Owen's favorite part.

Ellie got her face painted (Owen wasn't interested). She wanted flowers and so flowers is what she got!

The crowds started to become a little crazy as the hunt time neared, so we spent some time on the playground until it was time to stake our claim by the 'hunting grounds'.

Here the kids (and a friend they found along the way) spotted some ladybugs in the grass while we waited for the egg hunt to start. The ladybugs kept them distracted!

Not too shabby!! Surprisingly, they both got right in there and picked up a BUNCH of eggs (also a bunch of candy in those eggs). It was a fun start to all of our Easter fun. I imagine that most of the posts coming up will be about Easter.

Spring Break 2009

This year for Spring Break we did kind of a repeat from last year except we went with my whole side of the family. We rented out a house in San Antonio. It was really perfect because each family had two bedrooms and there was a theatre room as well. Plenty of space for all to enjoy. It was lots of fun! We went to Sea World two different days and the San Antonio children's museum another day.

The funny thing with the horses is that Ellie knows all of their names and which stall each of them are in. She remembers each time we go. It's pretty funny.

It was a nice vacation, the kids had a blast and we enjoyed spending time with family. Hopefully next year we will try and do something a little different. The kids are still talking about how much fun they had.

San Francisco III- Golden Gate Bridge

On our way out of San Francisco, we drove on the Golden Gate Bridge.  After we got off there was a scenic pull off that we took to get out and take some pictures.  It was really breathtaking.  You could see downtown San Francisco, the bridge and the bay.

We had such a wonderful time in California.  It was the first getaway for Daniel and I and we loved every minute of it.  We are thankful to our hosts who let us crash at their place and were excellent tour guides!  While in California we also had dinner with my cousin, Jim, and his girlfriend, Katie, but my camera died right before so I am going to have to wait on pictures.  That post will come in the near future when I receive them from my aunt and uncle.  We wish we had more than 3 days to spend, but we had a fabulous time!

While in California, Elise and Owen had a great time with Papa, Grammy and Uncle Pat.  They played in the water, went to the park, played games, were spoiled rotten and went to the children's museum and lots more.  --- I still have some Spring Break posts to do, but that will be another day.
