After the safari, we went to downtown San Antonio and did a few things down there. We visited the Alamo briefly... not too much for little kids there.
Ellie and Owen at the Alamo. A picture to prove that even when they were little we took them places.
After the Alamo, we stopped off for lunch at Rainforest Cafe. We took Ellie when she was one, but we haven't been back since and we had never been to the one in San Antonio. It was RIGHT by the Alamo so it was an easy walk to get there.
Dad and Owen... Owen was just getting used to his surroundings. We had a gorilla right by our table and Owen thought it was hilarious whenever it would start going off.
Ellie, on the other hand, did not appreciate the gorilla (though liked everything else) and felt like mom needed protection. Every time the gorilla went off she would grab me and hold me against her and pat my back telling me that I would be ok. Good thing Ellie is around to protect mom.
Dessert... or what was left of it. It was REALLY good. They said that it was the size for 2 people... yeah right!! There were 4 of us and we all ate a lot and still couldn't finish it.
Elise checking out the aquarium they had at the restaurant.
Owen figuring out what this animal is.
Mom and Dad taking a break to talk about what to do next (FYI, that isn't really us).

Ellie is such a good tooth brusher!

Owen pretending to be a construction worker.

Ellie also pretending to be a construction worker. She is holding her "money" that she got out of the pretend ATM as well.

Finally, a phone Owen can play with and not get in trouble for touching!

Ellie the pilot... the hat didn't fit so well.
