Sorry to all of you who only read the blog for updates on the kids, but I have decided to post more about what I am up to. I am hoping this will keep me a little more sane and keep me doing things and not living only for my children... sometimes as moms I think we kind of lose who we are and I am trying not to do that these days!
My first obsession: The kids. Can't help this one. They're always around.

Owen was pretty cute this morning while Ellie was at preschool. He decided he wanted to lay on my tummy (on Maggie)-- he has been such a sweetheart lately. He has discovered that he loves to be held.
Second, cake decorating--- well technically I haven't done one yet but I have the stuff and plan on doing one within the next week. Look for a post about that within the upcoming week whether it be a success or a failure. Count on the latter.

My third obsession: BOWS! This is a pretty big one since I was trying to get into it myself... a semi-failure. However, I found a wonderful lady who makes bows for me at a reasonable price. Her website is
http://www.rainbowsherbetboutique.com/. The best part is that I had her make most of the bows I got from her smaller (I think her standard is like 4.5" which is a little large for Ellie's head) and therefore they were cheaper. Ells has quite the collection now as you can see!

Fourth obsession: Getting ready for Mags to come. We got out the baby clothes awhile back and I hung up her 0-3 month dresses to unwrinkle them a bit. It is really hard to restrain myself from buying cute little girl clothes, but I have been doing well. I have only but a couple things and only because I got them at super cheap prices.

Fifth Obsession: Getting Emergency information in order. Here is part of the emergency information sheet we have on our fridge (I didn't include the whole thing because it has people's phone numbers and addresses on it). Also, we have straightened out our wills and life insurance which has been an important priority for us--- granted we probably should have had it taken care of quite awhile ago.

Sixth Obsession: Reality TV. I can't help it. I just love it. I still watch Amazing Race, Survivor, American Idol and my guilty pleasure is Big Brother. Forgive me... still be my friend.

Seventh Obsession: BLOGGING! Well, I am trying to be good about it anyway. It is the only real journal keeping I do and I love that I can go back and see just about every milestone that my kids have hit and when they did it. I look forward to eventually making a book out of the blog entries that we have done. Additionally, I really like looking and seeing what my friends, family and their children are doing. I feel like I know my friends and family better by reading what is happening with them. AND it is a great way of keeping in touch without really keeping in touch. Go figure.
Well, there you go, that is currently what is going on with me, or at least what I can currently think of. Please be sure and comment and tell me what you are into these days. I love to hear what you other moms are doing!

hmm, my obsessions are: reading books, watching American Idol & LOST,researching homeschooling stuff, gardening, trying to go back to the basics for cooking, organizing blogging and reading blogs, piano practice. wow, so I look like a nutcase, oh well, it's been fun :)
P.S. Now I have a great picture of your girls room for the bow hanging board and the blanket gives me great colors to work with. Please forgive me for being so slow. Vinyl Business has been put on the back burner for the moment.
That's funny about blogging. I was talking to a friend about it and she said, "It's like your socializing with people but you don't have to talk to them or leave your house to do it." So true.
My obsession is just wanting my house to stay cleaned and also I have the obsession of wanting to get cute baby clothes! Hope your doing well and you don't have that many headaches.
